PLANS TO ‘EDUCATE’ 2 MILLION ‘GRASSROOTS COMMUNICATIONS TEAM’ FOLLOWERS
Beginning this week, The Obama Regime is launching a new effort to enlist and (re)educate at least 2 million supporters for a “grassroots communications team” it’s calling the Truth Team. Sounds a little too Orwellian, doesn’t it?
Does this or does this not look like something right out of the old Soviet Union? Truth Teams? Seriously, TRUTH TEAMS? What will be next, Obama Youth Camps?
“The goal is to ensure that when Republicans attack President Obama’s record, grassroots supporters can take ownership of the campaign and share the facts with the undecided voters in their lives,” the Regime said in a prepared statement.
The first teams will be launched in 13 swing states: Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia.
The announcement directs Obama’s followers to three websites: KeepingHisWord.com, which highlights Obama’s record and “promises kept”; KeepingGOPHonest.com, which highlights GOP policy positions; and the previously-launched AttackWatch.com, which “fact-checks” claims made against Obama on the campaign trail.
Paranoia is in ample supply on Planet Obama.
“If the other guys are going to run a campaign based on misrepresenting the president’s record – and their own – we have two options: sit back and let these lies go unchallenged, or fight back with the truth,” deputy Obama campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said in an email. “We’re fighting back.”
Memo to Stephanie: If you’re really interested in tracking down people who “misrepresent the president’s record,” there’s no better place to start than with Barack Obama himself. Hell, let’s just focus on his lies and misrepresentations during this past year:
“I’ve done more for Israel’s security than any president ever.” Obama aided Islamic Extremists take over of Egypt/ Libya – Weapons pour into Gaza
“Virtually every Senate Republican voted against the tax cut last week.” The Examiner
“Every idea that we’ve put forward are ones that traditionally have been supported by Democrats and Republicans alike.” Like Raising taxes?
White House: “President Obama met highly-qualified, out of work teacher Robert Baroz.” He wasn’t out of work and Obama never met him
White House: “GOP Responsible for Obama Jobs Bill Not Passing.” Democrats Rejected Jobs Bill
“You have 80% of the American people who support a balanced approach. 80% of the American people support an approach that includes revenues and includes cuts. So the notion that somehow the American people aren’t sold is not the problem.” Gallup Poll
“These are obligations that the United States has taken on in the past. Congress has run up the credit card, and we now have an obligation to pay our bills.” It’s been mostly incurred during the Regime’s reign
“The Jobs Bill is paid for.” Not so much
“Then you’ve got their (Republicans) plan, which is dirtier air, dirtier water, less people with health insurance.” Obama, campaiging in Asheville, NC, 10/17/11
“I cannot guarantee that those (Social Security) checks will go out on August 3rd if we haven’t resolved this issue. There may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it.” American.com
“The USA is producing more oil than ever before.” Petroleum Insights
“The fence between the US and Mexico is “practically complete.” Department of Homeland Security
“The rich don’t pay their fair share.” National Taxpayers Union
So far, the “other guys” mentioned on the three websites are almost exclusively limited to Mitt Romney, although there is one mention of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and one mention of the conservative Super PAC, Americans for Prosperity.
Given Rick Santorum’s recent surge in the polls, I’m sure he’ll be the headliner on all three websites by the end of the week.
That “KeepingHisWord” thing sounds a bit too “Christ-like,” doesn’t it? Spooky.
