Have you ever had one of those dreams where it seems that everyone in the dream just doesn’t get it – and you’re the only who does? Kinda like the “emperor’s new clothes,” the “big lie,” and “1984” all rolled into one? Yep, that one. The analogy describes my feelings precisely as it relates to the naked hypocrisy, deliberate obfuscation and outright lying of the Obama Regime. No matter how bad it gets – this miserable excuse for a President’s approval ratings never dip below 40%.

Inexplicably, O continues to run within percentage points of Mitt Romney in the polls. I fully understand the impact of the Obama Media Group (OMG) and the nation’s education system on the programmed minds of America’s “less-than-informed,” but damn, people, c’mon.

The Liar-in-Chief should be down by at least 20 points – to a ham sandwich – if it were his only competition.

But I digress. The theme of today’s “bad dream” is this: The O Campaign is singling out Romney donors, identifying them on one of its websites, accusing them of “betting against America,” and worse. From Kim Strassel over at the Wall Street Journal:

Try this thought experiment: You decide to donate money to Mitt Romney. You want change in the Oval Office, so you engage in your democratic right to send a check.

Several days later, President Barack Obama, the most powerful man on the planet, singles you out by name. His campaign brands you a Romney donor, shames you for “betting against America,” and accuses you of having a “less-than-reputable” record. The message from the man who controls the Justice Department (which can indict you), the SEC (which can fine you), and the IRS (which can audit you), is clear: You made a mistake donating that money.

Astonishing. Except for the fact that it’s obvious the O-man has learned well from his Big Labor benefactors – James Hoffa (Teamsters) and Richard Trumka (AFL-CIO) to be specific. What’s next, O, sending out goon squads to break the legs of Romney donors? Severed horse heads under the sheets? Romney supporters simply start “disappearing”?

Here’s an actual quote from the Hypocrite’s attack website:

“A closer look at Romney’s donors reveals a group of wealthy individuals with less-than-reputable records. Quite a few have been on the wrong side of the law, others have made profits at the expense of so many Americans, and still others are donating to help ensure Romney puts beneficial policies in place for them.”

Hysterically, the website is named KeepingGOPHonest. Really, O? Kinda like keeping you honest when you said of Rush Limbaugh’s comments about Sandra Fluke – your plant at Gerogetown – “Private citizens shouldn’t be attacked for their political advocacy.”? You obviously forgot to add, “unless they oppose me,” right? Or your reference to “less-than-reputable records” exempted one of your top bundlers – Jon Corzine, CEO of MF Global – who claimed to be clueless over the disappearance of $1.6 billion in investor funds, right? Careful, O – your blatant hypocrisy is showing – again.

This is who these people are – and this is what these people do. I find it incredulous – even in light of the sycophantic behavior of OMG “journalists” – that more Americans have not proclaimed, as did Peter Finch in the movie Network: “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!” Thankfully, there’s still time, America.

Imagine the collective panties in a knot within the Obama Media Group had George Bush employed the same tactic.

Opposing the policies of a failed socialist President is not “betting against America.”

  1. Every time my husband hears O’s approval ratings, he goes ballistic. “What is the matter with people, are they all idiots?” and I say, Yes, Dear…

  2. Where in the Constitution does it say that people have a right to donate to Mitt?

    • Where in the post does it say anything about donating to Mitt being a right?

        • You’re now being silly. What I said – vs. implied – was that Barack Obama is a hypocrite – yet again. It also speaks to attempted intimidation.

C’mon, Walt – you know damn well – whether you admit it or not – that liberals would go ballistic if this tactic were employed by a Republican administration.

          • Maybe. I was pulling your leg.

          • Ah, you got me. A rare event.

Although – knowing you – I can’t be faulted for thinking you meant it. ;-)

          • How do you add the smiley faces? I’d like to be able to do it.

          • Type them with punctuation marks.

          • So all those attacks on Bill Maher, George Soros, and George Clooney were what exactly? Republicans have attacked private citizens for donations and so have democrats. This issue is not new and I for one would like to now who is funding the campaigns for the highest office in the world.

          • I seldom say this, but you are now being an idiot.

I have made zero attacks against George Clooney. (You’ve confused my critique of your hypocritical president fawning over rich LIBERALS.) Show us the specific quote(s).

Also – I have attacked NO ONE simply because they gave money to Obama. I have attacked Bill Maher for the hateful and vile things he has said – and continues to say. I have criticized Soros for his anti-American views. If you’re a Soros fan – that’s on you.

Give us some similar comments and stances of those who have been attacked by the Obamanites – simply because they donated money to Romney.

I’ve tired of your nonsense; put up, or shut up.

P.S. There is a difference between “knowing who is funding the campaigns for the highest office in the world” and the ad hominem attacks made by your president’s lapdogs on HIS website.
