**SEE COMMENTS SECTION FOR UPDATE** Back on Valentine’s Day, I wrote an article entitled “REGIME LAUNCHES ‘TRUTH TEAMS’ – ARE OBAMA YOUTH CAMPS NEXT?” in which I not only provided links to the Regime’s various websites on which Americans could turn in their friends and relatives for having the audacity to question the veracity of Barack Hussein Obama – but I also included a baker’s dozen of obfuscations, fabrications and outright lies told by the O-man in the months just prior to the Regime’s creation of its so-called “Truth Teams.”

I’m sorry, but Barack Obama creating a “truth” team is like Bill Maher teaching a Sunday School class. Or Michael Moore becoming a personal trainer and bringing out a new diet plan. Get the picture? Credibility? ZERO.

After the O-man’s whole “truth” team thing started to receive constant ridicule – particularly the Regime’s hysterical “Attack Watch” website – the “Truth Teams” began to operate on the down low. Here’s an example of why:

Anyway, as the little girl in Poltergeist II squealed, “They’re baaaaack!” Yes, America, the dreaded Obama Truth Squads are back. Over at ABC – not exactly a “right-wing” news organization – White House correspondent Jake Tapper reports that aside from the hypocrisy of saying things like, “fight back” and “attack” after mercilessly criticizing Sarah Palin for virtually identical language, the Regime “conflates smears with criticisms” by citing a largely debunked study right out of the box.

The Market Watch “study” has been refuted by several fact checkers as severely flawed, notwithstanding its reference by Regime mouthpiece Jay Carney – along with his assertion that reporters should “not buy into the BS that you hear about spending and fiscal constraint with regard to this administration. I think doing so is a sign of sloth and laziness.”

The “sloth and laziness” is on you – and your boss – Jay, for selectively choosing a “proof source” tailored to the Regime’s pathetic needs. (Although, in Jay’s defense, the selective use of “data” is a basic tenet of liberalism.)

The Washington Post’s Fact Checker gave Carney three Pinocchios, writing that the “data in the article are flawed, and the analysis lacks context – context that could easily be found in the budget documents released by the White House.”

The Associated Press also came to pretty much the same conclusion, saying that “the problem with that rosy claim (Carney’s) is that the Wall Street bailout is part of the calculation. The bailout ballooned the 2009 budget just before Obama took office, making Obama’s 2010 results look smaller in comparison. And as almost $150 billion of the bailout was paid back during Obama’s watch, the analysis counted them as government spending cuts. It also assumes Obama had less of a role setting the budget for 2009 than he really did. The analysis simply looks at the year-to-year topline spending number for the government but doesn’t account for distortions baked into the figures by the Wall Street bailout and government takeover of the mortgage lending giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.”

The problem, of course, is that both WaPo and AP fail to recognize another basic tenet of liberalism: Never let a fact get in the way of liberal ideology. While most of us always remember that facts don’t lie, the smartest of us never forget that liberals do.

Here’s the O-man’s newest Truth Team admonishment:

“When you’re faced with someone who misrepresents the truth, you can find all the facts you need right here – along with ways to share the message with whoever needs to hear it.”

Makes it sound like the Regime is the supreme arbiter of truth, doesn’t it? And what a full-service Regime it is; not only will it tell you what the truth really is – presumably to set you free – it will program you as to how to respond to “misrepresentations” of the supreme truth as well.

Can you spell i-n-d-o-c-t-r-i-n-a-t-i-o-n?

Moreover, reread that sentence; does it or does it not sound like a teacher talking (down) to a fifth grade class? I realize that the majority of the O-man’s lemmings are somewhat “less than informed,” but if I were a liberal, (shudder to think) I’d feel a wee bit talked down to by the Regime too, wouldn’t you?  “Not only will we tell you the real truth and what to think about it boys and girls – we’ll tell you what to say to all those meanies when they say naughty things about our president that aren’t true.” Too funny.

It will be fun to watch the Regime fly even more apart at the seams over the summer as it becomes more and  more desperate. The reality of November is closing on them in the rear-view mirror. They are beginning to realize that the once unthinkable – in their elitist minds – has a real chance of actually occurring; Barack Hussein Obama will lose the election.

Fear not, Obamanites; The One will not follow Jimmy Carter onto the roofs of Habitat-for-Humanity homes. I have hunch that Hollywood and Dancing with the Stars are more in the O-man’s future.

The silly site even has a red “REPORT” button – like you’re turning someone in to the Gestapo or the KGB or whatever.

Attack Watch 2.0 has been launched, America; let the tweets begin.

  1. The Twitter account for “Attack Watch” – the O-man’s spin machine – has gone dark as of this morning. According to Twitter, the account is now “private.”

Through “Attack Watch,” the Regime was monitoring The Daily Caller, The Drudge Report and several other media outlets.

Following a bunch of pressure and ridicule after the Regime launched “Attack Watch” last fall, the O-man’s political team shifted its focus to its goofy “Truth Teams.” “Attack Watch” was one of the so-called “Truth Teams.”

    Is liberalism priceless, or what?
