FROM HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE TO WHITE HOUSE LEAKS: THE CHARGES HAVE BEEN NON-STOP
Accusing the President of the United States of lying is a pretty serious charge. It was, at least, until George W. Bush ran headlong into the Left. (“Bush lied, people died,” etc.) While that same Loony Left is quick to attribute the attacks against Barack Obama’s integrity to simple partisan politics, the question remains: why is this guy accused of lying all the time?
Before we go any further, let’s get the “obvious” answers of the Left out of the way right off the bat: Obama’s black, Obama’s liberal, Obama threatens the Right’s control of the universe, Conservatives are evil. Okay – now we can move on.
Perhaps believing that the term, “lying weasel” is bit too harsh, conservative columnist George Will talks of Obama’s “intellectual sociopathy” – his “often breezy and sometimes loutish indifference to truth” – of which we should no longer be startled. Lacking the intellectual capacity of George Will, the Rat refers to Obama’s penchant for being “less than honest” as the “Political Lie,” which he defines as:
Liberals saying things they know aren’t true for the sole purpose of exploiting the “less than informed” for personal political gain.
This is the essence of the Obama presidency. As Terry Bradshaw told Jay Leno one night after Jay asked him why he couldn’t maintain a relationship, “Jay, I can’t not lie.” Barack Obama has never stopped campaigning – he has never stopped lying. He takes credit for the actions of others – while passing the buck and denying responsibility for his own mistakes. And the hell of it is – the Obamabots could not care less; most of them lie for him as well. This includes the Obama Media Group, of course.
The most recent accusations of “indifference to the truth” against Obama stem from a series of national security leaks. While an indignant O-man chaffed at the very notion that anyone could accuse him and “my” White House of such behavior – referring to the charge as “offensive,” a couple of questions beg to be asked:
Is it not completely logical to follow leaks all the way to those who stand to benefit most from the leaks? Since there have been multiple security leaks in recent months – all of which are intended to prop up O prior to the election, if he opposes said leaks half as much as he pretended to oppose them at his hastily-called news conference, why didn’t he get to the bottom of who leaked the first one? Finally – again, if O has no knowledge of the leak sources, how could he possibly be so adamant that they did not originate in “my” White House?
Sorry, O, but you’re about to go through the old Nixon-Watergate routine: “What did the president know, and when did he know it? The good part – for America – is if you continue to stonewall, you can turn this thing into a full-blown scandal – given that it won’t happen anyway – and just pound another nail or two into your own reelection coffin. And, O? We’ll be happy to provide you with the hammer and nails.
On a slightly more humorous note, now the Israelis are accusing the O-man of lying – about one his lies. (See how complicated things become when you become indifferent to the truth?) Israeli officials who were placed at risk by the Regime’s leaks about the Stuxnet virus are disputing O’s claims that the cyber-weapon was jointly developed by the U.S. and Israel. Rather, they say, Israeli intelligence first started developing cyberspace warfare against Iran, only convincing theRegime – with some difficulty – to join in. The Israelis allege that the O-man claimed credit for Stuxnet to boost his re-election campaign. Nooo – O would never do that.
So, who’s lying here – the O-man or the Israelis? Very often, past behavior is an indicator of future behavior, is it not? Given O’s penchant for throwing Israel under the bus as often as he possibly can – including leaking information about potential dates of an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear sites – and his love for sucking up to all things Muslim – even the crazy ones from time to time – I gotta go with the Israelis. Besides, everything from the I Killed Osama Bin Laden Victory Tour to O throwing the poor Pakistani doctor under the bus – which landed the man in a Pakistani prison for 30 years – tends to demonstrate the O-man’s willingness to stop at nothing to self-aggrandize, does it?
Finally, O’s habitual “avoidance of the truth” has as much to do with what he doesn’t want to be as it does with what he wants to be. The simple answer always points to what he wants to be – reelected. However, he is one of those people – and we all know the type – who is never wrong. In the mind of the thin-skinned O-man, any sign of being wrong is viewed as a weakness – a character flaw even. As a result, the guy must continually obfuscate, manipulate, deceive, and yes, downright lie – in order to maintain the faux facade of always being right. It’s the same reason he blames everything on everyone else – and is incapable of accepting responsibility for anything of his own doing.
(Ironically, after realizing that his continual blitzkrieg on the Republican Congress hasn’t had the desired effect on his poll numbers, O’s now focusing on Europe as a primary reason for the sorry state of the U.S. economy – the same Europe he has idolized all these years – and tried his damnedest to replicate in America.)
As is the case with con men throughout history, O actually seems to believe that just because he says something – in his smooth and condescending way – people will buy it. After all, in many cases, they do. Bernie Madoff thought the same thing – for awhile.
The only difference was – Bernie didn’t have the Obama Media Group to watch his back.
Too bad O can’t visit that Pakistani doctor in prison – just for a day or two.
