GOLFER-IN-CHIEF HITS A MILESTONE
For the 100th time since January 20, 2009, America’s poor and disadvantaged were provided the opportunity to live vicariously through the O-man Saturday – and play golf. Yes, unemployed Americans, your savior – Barack Hussein Obama – played his 100th round of golf as president over the weekend – this time at the exclusive Beverly Hills Country Club in Chicago.
While this is the 8th time O has played golf in 2012, he’s well off last year’s record-setting pace – when he hit the links 34 times. Unfortunately, campaigning and fundraising have seriously cut into the Golfer-in-Chief’s time on the links this year.
Incidentally, the Regime does its best to downplay O’s golfing, rarely talking about it – choosing instead to emphasize his time on the basketball court. Why is that?
Obamabots defend O’s obsession with golf – arguing that it provides a badly needed source of relaxation for the poor, stressed out, overworked guy. On the other hand, others argue that the O-man could find other ways to relax, and that golfing sends the wrong message to the poor during times of economic struggle – and to the troops during times of war.
In contrast, George Bush gave up golfing in 2003, saying it was wrong to play during wartime:
“I don’t want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the Commander in Chief playing golf. I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal.”
Liberals, of course, think none of the kind. Especially elitist liberals, who, let’s face it, couldn’t give a damn what the poor – or anyone else – thinks about their extravagant lifestyles. This is not to say that there’s anything wrong with vacationing in Hawaii or on Martha’s Vineyard – or for that matter, taking one’s posse to Spain for an extended vacation.
It is to say that elitist liberals’ penchant for railing against America’s wealthy – and demanding “fairness” and “equal opportunity” for all Americans (they actually want equal results) – all the while living life large – amounts to a biggie size helping of arrogant hypocrisy.
Having said as much, it’s my sincere hope that O gets to play golf to his heart’s content – come January 20, 2013.
Why do you suppose the Regime releases far more pictures of O playing basketball – which he plays far less that he plays golf?
