DEMOCRATS LOW ON CASH: WHAT A DIFFERENCE FOUR YEARS MAKES

EPIC IRONY: DEMOCRATS FORCED TO CUT BACK ON O-MAN’S CAMPAIGN BUDGET!

Think about it. Democrats live in another world when it comes to spending other people’s money. As it relates to the federal budget, whether it’s their never-ending effort to increase taxes (along with fees, fines and any other means by which they can get into our wallets), or simply printing more money and passing along current spending deficits to future generations, the thought of “balancing the checkbook” is completely lost on liberals. In fact, it’s downright anathema; which is why the O-man uses the misnomer “invest” whenever he talks about an ever-increasing amount of deficit spending – as if equating “investing” with whatever wealth redistribution scheme he’s hawking at the moment will somehow lessen the burden on future generations.

In an epic display of irony, a funny thing happened on the way to the 2012 Democratic Convention. With Obama’s approval ratings in the toilet and donations to his reelection bid down dramatically from 2008 as a result, Democrats are staring at the stark reality which tens of millions of Americans are forced to face every month. Unlike their drunken-sailor, tax-and-spend, print-more-money answer to the federal budget, when it comes to their campaigns and conventions, Democrats must face the music: If you ain’t got it, you can’t spend it. Welcome to Club Real World, liberals; how’s it feel?

In a clear indication that O’s reelection campaign budget is getting a wee bit tight, Team O has canceled a convention kick-off event at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“While we regret having to move CarolinaFest away from our great partners at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and the City of Concord, we are thrilled with the opportunity that comes with hosting this event in Uptown Charlotte,” announced Dan Murrey, the executive director of the 2012 Convention Host Committee. (Nice spin, huh?)

Here’s the deal; Democratic convention planners are reportedly staring at a fundraising deficit of $27 million; Team O had hoped to raise $36.6 million by now – vs. the less than $10 million it’s actually raised. This partially explains the “Obama Gift Registry” – a desperate ( and pompous) request by the O-man for Obamabots to forego wedding and anniversary gifts from friends and relatives – and request instead that those friends and relatives donate to O’ reelection campaign. Pathetically, Team O even announced that it would take gifts that had already been purchased for said events. Unbelievable. Hysterical – but unbelievable just the same.

Ah, what a difference four years makes, eh? Remember how candidate Obama pledged to John McCain that he would accept public funding during the 2008 campaign – um, that is until O realized that he could raise far more money by reneging on his promise and relying on private donations? That was then, this is now. How deserving.

The irony that the Democrats must balance O’s reelection campaign budget is just too damn good to be true.

  1. Unit told me they may raise the debt limit by executive order. Watch out!

  2. I’m sorry…one last comment from the joint…which I can’t edit…I mean raise the debt limit borrowing to give to the greens to funnel back to the election committee for the O.
