REGIME MOUTHPIECE WON’T TELL REPORTERS WHICH CITY O RECOGNIZES
If you needed more insight into O’s view on the Israeli-Palestinian issue (which would indicate that you’ve had your head up your butt for the last 3 1/2 years), look no farther: O’s Propaganda Minister, Jay Carney, yesterday refused to answer a very simple question posed by White House reporters: What city does the Regime recognize as the capital of Israel?
In one of his customary fits of appearing that he wanted to crawl up his own – never mind – Carney hemmed and hawed as if he’d just been asked to divulge if he’d ever searched for porn on the internet:
Reporter: What city does this Administration consider to be the capital of Israel? Jerusalem or Tel Aviv?
Propaganda Minister: Um… I haven’t had that question in a while. Our position has not changed. Can we, uh…
Reporter: What is the capital of Israel?
Propaganda Minister: You know our position.
Reporter: I don’t.
Lester Kinsolving, World Net Daily: No, no. She doesn’t know, that’s why she asked.
Propaganda Minister: She does know.
Reporter: I don’t.
Kinsolving: She does not know. She just said that she does not know. I don’t know.
Propaganda Minister: We have long, lets not call on…
Kinsolving: Tel Aviv or Jerusalem?
Propaganda Minister: You know the answer to that.
Kinsolving: I don’t know the answer. We don’t know the answer. Could you just give us an answer? What do you recognize? What does the administration recognize?
Propaganda Minister: Our position has not changed.
Kinsolving: What position?
O’s mouthpiece once again refused to answer, and moved on to another question. The obvious question – is why? If everyone “knows your position” and your “position has not changed”, Jay, then why was it so difficult to answer the question? Here’s your boss’s answer – as he sucked up to AIPAC (The American Israel Public Affairs Committee) in 2008:
Oopsie, Jay. Although, I do understand your “confusion”:
Let’s connect the dots: The Israeli government has proclaimed Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel. The Palestinian National Authority has proclaimed Jerusalem – er – Al Quds – to be the capital of Palestine. The official position of the U.S. government has not changed – since before the (re)birth of Israel in 1948: the status of Jerusalem is yet to be determined. Barack Obama clearly said in 2008 that Jerusalem was the undivided capital of Israel. Question: Why does the Regime not simply clarify its position by answering the simple question posed by reporters? Answer: Because the election is four months away, and as is the case with most of O’s “positions”, he wants to have his cake and eat it too.
C’mon, it’s classic O: He tells a fawning crowd of Obamabots that business owners didn’t build their own businesses – only to later backtrack and tell the rest of us (after the outcry had reached deafening proportions) that Republicans were “taking his words out of context.” In another disingenuous moment – designed for “mainsteam” media soundbites – he told members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars that veterans’ benefits would not be cut as a result of sequestration – only to later have a lackey (with less fanfare) walk back his comments.
O’s Propaganda Minister refused to state O’s “position” on Jerusalem for one reason: It’s not really O’s position on Jerusalem. Think about it: If O truly believes the comments he made to AIPAC in 2008 (as he prostituted himself for votes), why would Carney not reiterate them now? The reality is this: O knows he has the Jewish vote locked up (I will NEVER understand why Jews overwhelming vote Democrat, when there is no more loyal supporter of Israel in the world than the Republican Party), so he must do his best to avoid alienating American Muslims.
While O won’t say he believes that Jerusalem should be handed over to the Palestinians and renamed Al Quds – he’s working his ass off to placate Muslims nonetheless. After all, it’s an election year, America.
Ah, the tangled webs of patronizing hypocrites.
And Jewish Americans continue to support this guy WHY?
